Whether
you're hanging out on the Factory Five builders forum, or talking
cams at the Super Chevy show, when the question, "where
can I get it?" comes up, the answer is always, "Just
call Mike Forte, that guy sells everything!"
What does "everything" include?
Clutches, bellhousings, Tremec transmissions, Factory Five Replica
parts, Ford or Chevrolet performance parts, and thousands of
other custom built parts to satisfy almost any part need you
may have. Complete brake kits, suspension components, complete
engine with transmission, clutch kits and more, Forte's Parts
Connection has it.
Back in 1993, Mike Forte developed the
original conversion of the Ford Tremec into a GM 5-speed. These
have always bolted to OEM GM aluminum bellhousings without an
adapter plate. The Early Ford & FE Tremec were also originals from Mike Forte. His latest
developements are external slave clutch release conversions & cable
release conversions too.
Forte's Parts Connection has now finished
it's 27th year! We are direct with most performance parts manufacturers.
Forte's competes with many mail order parts with tech support
on nites & weekends.
Forte's has developed many parts in the past 24 years. With Forte's original GM Tremec 5 speed introduced back 1993 that bolts directly to a factory GM bellhousing. With the Early Ford Tremec and FE TKO that also bolt to a Factory Top Loader Ford bellhousing. With these Tremec's made to fit factory bellhousings the Mustang Tremec product line was expanded to fit hundreds of thousands of classic muscle cars & hot rods.
In 1996, Forte's original firewall adjustable quadrant kit designed to use a Mustang OEM clutch cable. Using the OEM cable was to insure trouble free operation without the plagued cable failure of the aftermarket kit that had been available up until that time.
In 1994 I had the pleasure of meeting Mark Smith and then Dave Smith before FFR made their first kit. Mark visited me countless times with an ambition of building a "Cobra" kit car. Our conversations and many of my ideas spawned many inherent designs built into the FFR chassis. The FFR includes the donor idea, sheet metal firewall, parts of the front end. Many were modeled from my GT-1 racecar I had built from 1991-1993.
If you need something made or an idea for a new product feel free to contact
